It is on their website so there must be some validity to it?

Yup.  In fact, if you look in the stickies above you will find one about this recall.   ;)

Well I checked my .54 Percussion Serial Number that is a recall replacement barrel from a few years back - and the new barrel they sent me (is not subject to recall)...

I checked my .50 Flintlock Serial Number that was a kit build back in 2006 or 2007, - and it is subject to recall... Now I have a lot of rounds through this old flintlock over the last 13 / 14 years and have never experienced any type of trouble with this rifle what-so-ever... It has handled 70 to 90 grains of Goex 2fg and 3fg charges with no hint of any problems - and I'm still here to tell the story...

I'm going to have to maul this one over for awhile on the flintlock barrel???

I wonder if I did send in the .50 caliber Flintlock Barrel - if they would send me a .54 caliber Flintlock Barrel in its place if I requested it?

Also, the last replacement barrel on the caplock - they sent me a nice little maintenance pouch with cleaning patches, oil, and tools... They also let me keep the under rib with all it's attachments, and the sights, and Nipple... So, it might be a worthy trade off.

Well a quick update; I re' checked my "Flintlock" Serial Number - and it is now NOT a recall...

So much for my possible new .54 barrel and some extra goodies...
