I was at the range today and took my first shot at the Morgan target.  I had some other rifles to sight in also.  Then I emptied the three garbage cans as my part to keep the club property up.  When I emptied the last one into the dumpster I saw a .45-70 case so I dug around (dumpster diving?) and got 19 more.  I don't have need of them, but figured I'd offer to mail them to the first person who PMs me.  Decided to offer them here first, if no takers I'll put them up on other boards.

They also make a good basis for blow tubes for a .45 cal Sharps or Remington.

Those "unmentionables" are also great for old guys, like myself, who put them back in use. Just like Junior Daughtry used to do down in Louisiana.

Russ...

It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.

We lost a god man when Junior Doughty passed away, much too soon.  His daughter still keeps his website up in his memory: http://www.castbullet.com/

Lots of good information there.  The man knew his stuff!

Indeed!
Junior and I had many late-night discussions on the ends and outs of casting and loads.
In fact, years ago I was surprised to learn you had done the same...Good on you!
From our own previous discussions, it's pretty clear to me that you're the very reason I own and shoot such a rifle, along with the suggestions from Junior on loads, OP cards, etc.
And, that very same rifle still proudly maintains its presence in my Gun Safe, along with some great memories of days gone by.
Plus, as we have both said many times before, we need more Junior Doughtys in this world!
