I agree with Rob. If that were mine, I'd want it to stop right there. Beautiful.

From what I've read about cherry wood, there's no stopping its propensity to continually deepen in color ....  :scared: .... unless it's kept in the dark and out of ALL light sources.

Getting back to my cherry stocked .45 Woodsrunner, now it's a .54 after a bbl swap.  The .54 bbl was a perfect drop-in fit, too.

Ahhhh, the gun is mo' bettah now!  Much lighter to carry, too!

Both shot "best" - GM makes good ones - it really comes down to the shooter, and perhaps the rifle's application.

Also,  how much lighter is the .54 over the .45?

'Bout 1/2 pound lighter.
