Sinterklaas Day

Happy Sint Nikolaas Day, Also known as Sinterklaas Day, all you Dutchmen!

Actually, the 5th (Sint Nikolaas Eve) is the day most celebrated in the Netherlands, per some site my Beloved found.  That is the day kids put out their shoe, filled with hay or other goodies for the Sint's horse, and a plate of cookies for the Sint and his Moorish helper also.  Well anyway, that is how I remember it from many moons ago.  Then on the 6th there are presents and the hay/goodies/cookies are gone!

Unfortunately, I got nothing, nada, zip for today.

Hey, we need a frowny to go with all the smilies for those times we aren't up to a happy face!
