Maine Powder House (mainepowderhouse.com) appears to have Schuetzen and Swiss, the first for $17 to $22, depending on grade, and the latter for $28.25.  I believe the other powder sellers also have these in stock.  MPH seems to be having problems with their credit card processing, though.

Just because Goex is out of business (hopefully only for a while),doesn't mean that black powder isn't available!  We went through the same gyrations when DuPont closed, before it was revived as Goex.  The holy Black was still available then, it is still available now.

And for what it's worth, I agree wholeheartedly with Joe on using REAL black powder.

I had checked Powder Inc, Powder Valley and Maine Powder House last week - all had nothing we'd want.

I just checked MPH and although it looks like they have powders in stock ("Add To Cart"), when you do add it you'll see it's back ordered.

You can always make your own. Really easy. Not all that time consuming either.
Skylighter has a kit that will make 10# for 50$.
I just make it in small amounts as needed
but you can make the whole 10# too.
Add a ball mill from harbor frieght and you are in bizniz.

While I'm very fortunate to be well stockpiled with Swiss I did look into "rolling my own".  No matter what, I'll admit it's as scary to me as carrying AIWB CCW.

There is a Youtube (several parts) video of a guy making his own black powder / using the ball roller & the drying / screening, and so on... Anyway, If I were in a pinch - I'd probably give it a try, but I'm not to that point as yet.

I'm pretty confident that someone is going to pickup the American Market on Black Powder sooner or later... It's only good business sense, and those manufacturing the holly black - know this.  :shake
