New Flinter is here
« on: March 29, 2009, 03:08:53 AM »
Got my new Left handed Flintlock pistol just before the Monroe show.  It is .54 Cal. as is my rifle.  Here they are together.  The wood matches closely.  The Rifle was made in Oregon by Ron Gueldner and the pistol by TVM.  I am quite pleased.

Tin Type, I've got a .62 smoothbore long gun and a .62 smooth pistol both made by Jackie Brown. I agree with your thinkin on havin a matching pair. Of coarse I'm not surprised because I'm left handed too and everyone knows us Leftys are in our Right Mind... :rotf

To Two Stepts and Gordon Kemp,
I have on occasions, missed a target.  Here are some of the occasions..
1. The sun was in mah eyes!!! and I squinted to much.
2. The sun was'nt in mah eyes!!! and I didn't squint 'nuff.
3.  Thar were a cross-wind...
4.  Thar were a dead-calm....
5.  Thar were a high tide, and the weight of the water caused my side o' the earth to lose altitude.
6.  Ther were a low tide, and the loss o' the water weight on my side o' the earth raised my altitude.
7.  Thar were an earthquake in Terra del Fuego. The ground was shakin'.
8.  Mount Redoubt in Alaska went off again... the ash clouded mah vision.
9.  Mah tri-focals were dirty, couldn't see the target.
10. Mah tri-focals were clean, an' I whar overwhelmed by the vision!!!
11. I fergots to compensate fer the rotation o' the earth under man bullet.  Shot to the left...
12. I over-compensatededed fer the rotation o' the earth under mah bullet and I shot to the right...

This is mah story, an' I'm a'stickin' to it.

I liked the idea of having a matched set I did it in both .62 smoothie and .54 rifled. It must be a lefthanded thing?
