Bow Storage and Display

What is the best way (for the bow) to store and/or display a nice longbow, or 5?

I have 2 strips of oak 1"x3" screwed vertically to the wall. I drilled and set dowels into the boards and my bows lay across them. Right now they are 2 deep and the quivers are hanging off the pegs too.

I've seen a horizontal board with pegs or hooks and bows hanging vertically by the strings. You need to faster the string with a small wrpa to keep it from coming off the bow tip to do it this way.

I hang my longbow and smaller bow vertically, each from its own hanging string, and the bow is unstrung.  Im a scared of them changing shape if I put them horizontal.  Probably just superstitious?

That was what Iwas thinking that they may warp or some weird thing like that if I stored them horizontally...

fyi,probably doesn't apply to wood bows, but when I worked on airplanes, we never left a wood prop vertical as we were taught it would (moisture) make the prop out of balance if the plane was not flown for a lenthy period of time. The prop blade tips even had weep holes in them.  Never saw a weeping prop but then I'm not about to argue with my old mech instructor. I store my bow(made by Fletcher) horizontal on top of my gun case.

I always store my bows horizontally, whether in bags or on racks.

If on racks, I like the pegs to support the limb just beyond the handle where the bow is still well supported but not resting on the thinner part of the limbs.  I firmly believe that vertical storage is bad for a traditional or self bow.  They store the training wheel bows in all manner of fashion - but them are machines not good friends
