Brought these both about with a" Native American" style so I thought to show them together even though the horn is not finished[right now I've got" Horner's Block"so I need time to think before I finish it!]
I showed the knife's original, somewhat scruffy character,as a potentially dangerous carving knife that was a bit too fierce to hang out with the guys in the kitchen drawer[ being double edged] in another post,but here he is again
I gave him a choice of banishment, or Service- At- Arms,which required extensive retraining and discipline for the former ruffian ,Like other tough guys it was just what he needed and here he is at graduation
He has been serving well at his new occupation and did a good job of rendering this fellow fit to eat.
He rendered excellent service in his first action ,as expected,as you can see by his scars which were left intact as badges of honor,he has had an active and tough life since being born in England.He has recieved his mark of distinction
As for the horn?
He is still under construction but is the second one I made with a Rawhide cap,my oldest horn,which is my hunting horn is the other and has kept my powder dry for over 20 years
