Seeing Moose Milk brought back some wonderful memories...
FWIW; The first time I heard the term "Moose Milk" was sometime back in the late 1990's / early 2000, back on the very early type bulletin board web sites, and it came from a web site where "Mama Flinter" and her husband were the owners / sponsors.
Since first reading this I have racked my brain trying to remember the name of their web site, but for the life of me I can't.
Perhaps some of you can remember her.
I'm not sure if those two are still around, or if the web site even exists any longer, but they were both great people, and they were both fans of Moose Milk, of which they had two recipes...one for warm weather, one for winter or cold weather.
They got a lot of praise from many folks for revealing their so-called "secret mixture", at the same time many of those expecting miracles, or something magic with their shooting, took their internet cheap-shots at the nice folks and moved on, which was a good thing too.
Prior to hearing the term Moose Milk, myself and many others referred to such lube methods as "Dry Lube", I sometimes still do without even thinking that many now use it while it is still damp, or even wet.
I learned a lot from Mama Flinter, even though I was forty or fifty years her senior at the time, she shared a knowledge that had been barely touched on by my own peer group, yet it was good sound knowledge that was learned through the school of hard knocks, accompanied by many failures, yet very much appreciated by many of the old timers.
They were indeed a wonderful couple, and I hope they are both doing well.
I also remember Stumpkiller, and I hope he is doing well.
His Moose Milk and Moose Snot got a lot of exposure several years back, and many still swear by it, and that too is a good thing.
