Camp trunk
« on: February 13, 2012, 03:24:19 PM »
Well I finished my camp trunk, so on to the next project. It's sitting on the folding camp table I made also. Just in case any of you wood scroungers are wondering the camp table is made from a wood army cot I picked up at a yard sale last year. The canvas didn't survive the Greyhunter weight test  ;)  Regards, GH

Looking good Lynn, some leather for a strap instead of that zinc plated chain will work for a keeper, I'vs used it on my trunks, works well

Thank you! Made it from salvage pine shelving, and took other builders on here's advice and kept it small enough that I can carry it. Good to keep my pans and food stuff in when I camp. It's 12x16x24 inches. I will substitute leather for chain stop and get the hinge hid too. It is glued and small box nails construction.

Oh my goodness.  Gotta take time to read what it actually says.
I thought the topic of this thread was Camp Drunk.  Couldn't figure out what it had to do with Smithing and Craftsmen.
Duh!!!
