Many Thanks to TMA from the Boy Scouts of Fort Grizzly
« on: March 22, 2012, 07:13:53 PM »
I believe that we have now received all the gear requested to the TMA Youth Grant BOD.

Riley sent me 5 cappers and powder measures - bought with grant funds I believe.

Beaverman sent me 2 possible bags and 5 ball bags (those special hardened ones that work so well)

Big Smoke sent me 5 powder horns, beautifully done.  Makes me want to give some of mine to the Scouts and keep these!!!

Finally - just received today from Eric Davis 3 possible bags and 5 short starters.

The trail walk for the Fort Grizzly Rondy is built with 5 stations with 2 separate targets to shoot from each one.  Trail groups will be
up to 6 boys.  The 5 complete trail bags will allow us to keep all 5 stations going.  We have 14 rifles including 2 left handers so we should be
in great shape.  This event will be limited to 120 boys ( and that should just about wear out the 30 some staff we have recruited - and I sure hope
all will commit.)

We will take a lot of photos and even some U-tube type videos.  When that is all done I will get with one of you puter xperts and get them posted out
there on the WWW somewhere to have a look.  The event is scheduled for the 1st weekend in October with a couple of staff camp {dry runs} first
to set up all the events and check for safety and difficulty.

Once again our thanks to TMA and the Youth Grant BOD.  I hope many more youth ML groups can get a boost from us.

Don't that just make a guy all warm & fuzzy?

Okay, I am always warm & fuzzy, but this makes me warmer & fuzzier.....

Seriously, I am so proud of the BoD members (& advisers) for stepping up to the plate on this one & knocking it out of the park. This is on top of the 7 rifles we gave away this year through the grant program. You guys are great!
