I love to tinker as my wife would call it. Not sure if I could build a gun from scratch but give me one in the white and I would spend hours just well tinkering ha. Making simple knives is something I enjoy doing. No heat treating just shaping blades and sometimes putting a new handle on. So with that in mind here is a simple cheap patch knife took me about 45 minutes to make. I own my own painting business so in turn I'm allows patching small holes in walls and let me tell you over time them putty knives become razor Sharp! Not sure the exact steel I think it's a carbon but oh well. I was in the paint store the other day and saw a Warner putty knife. Nice wood handle, perfect shape, flexible, made in the USA! And 7 bucks hahah. I figured what the heck, might make a good patch knife since the blade will always lay flat because of the flexibility. Well got home pulled out the dremel and 45 minutes later a patch knife was created. Figured they would be a fun Christmas gift to give to friends that wouldn't cost to much and you can put your own little touch on in each one. Enjoy!
