Home made GPR peep sight

Today I made a peep sight for my Lyman GPR .54, the sight is made out of a piece of angle iron, drilled to the size of a commercial "Ghost Ring", and soldered to the rifle's breech.
This rifle will be used strictly for hunting since a sight like this isn't allowed in competition shooting at rendezvous.
The center of the "Ghost Ring" is 0.265" above the barrel flat, so I'll still have to file a bit off the Lyman front sight when I sight it in 2" high at 25 yards.

The aperture measures 0.175" and is 7 1/2" forward of my eye. 

Sad to say, I've been too busy to cast up balls and shoot it yet,.... and the front sight still needs to be filed down to shoot center.

Over all,... a 100 yd. target looks nice and clear through the peep along with the front sight,... so it should work well for me.
