Aw come on Joe...you know I only use that in my fire starter kit and sometimes with my 1st aid stuff. Never tried it for wadding. Might want to be careful in dry conditions...that lint will hold and carry a spark.
Oh, BTW, you don't have to worry about me picking lint in your neighborhood for a while...I'm sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee right now...don't think I could do that at your place Ol Al doesn't do cold if he doesn't have to!

Seems to me that "Lint" may be one of the major ingredients in fire starter kits here in this neck of the woods.
A bit of char, on a bed of lint, is for sure a "quick starter"....even I can manage that, at times. lol
I'm not sure about that wadding, but if a quick handful of grass or a crumbled up large leaf will do the trick, then why not?
If I'm not badly mistaken it was our friend "Tacks" that kinda coached me and a few others through our first lint fire, right here on this forum.
