Looking good, Bull.
We made all our bags out of 5 - 6 oz oil tan and for a double bag, that was just a mite heavy.
You the man.

Lookin good Bull. I don't mean to highjack the thread but was wondering how leather weight is determined.

I don't really know the technical answer, but it takes the thickness into account.

I kinda recall looking that leather weight question up one time, and I believe it had something to do with the folds of a dollar bill, but I can't remember the formula, and I can't recall where I read that at???

from Tandy Leather...
Weight/Thickness - Leather is usually measured in terms of ounces. One ounce equals 1/64th of an inch thickness. Thus, a weight of 7 to 8 oz. means the leather is 7/64th to 8/64th of an inch thickness.
Here is a chart I found also.

That looks real good!
I just spent several hours adding a piece to a hatchet sheath I had made; I made it too short
and the blade cut the stitching on the end. Being thrifty (some would say c-h-e-a-p) I sewed an extra inch to it so now there is little chance of a repeat, but my what a lot of fiddling around with my little Speedy Stitcher! I could have made a whole new cover in the time it took, and it would have looked a whole lot nicer.
What I make doesn't hold a candle to what Bull does; I'm impressed with your talent!

I've kinda toyed with that double pouch idea myself Bull, but haven't done one as yet. After seeing yours, that just might change.
Good looking bag!

Looks good David, I hear you about getting back at it, have 12 full 1/2 hides 18 to 26 sq.ft. or more been sitting for 6 years, and a crap ton of horns waiting to be made up, can't wait for my new shop to be finished and get back at making stuff again, too much $ tied up in inventory supplies!

Bull, I do appreciate the offer, however I believe I can gather enough info from your posted pictures...
