Another Use For A Salad Fork Set
« on: September 14, 2020, 10:06:25 PM »
.

I bought this vintage hollowware (hollow handle) salad fork/spoon set on fleabay for chump change & a couple of FFFg flintlock priming valves from TOTW

I then cut the wooden fork/spoon off from their hollow handles.

I made a small wooden plug to fit inside the open end of the handle(s), drilled it for the priming valve, then epoxied it in place.

And, VIOLA ! !  -  A handy/compact flintlock pan priming tool !

Cool! That is what our fore fathers did, re-purposed, modified or built what they needed out of what they had.

I wonder in the distant past if anyone ever took a powder primer and made a fork out of it? :Doh!
