I sure do like the coffin handle knives.  One can really get a good grip on those.
The third one from the bottom, with the antler handle.  No offense intended, but is that as awkward handling as it looks?
And I am a sucker for anything that has a double edge.
Good collection of things pointy and sharp.  I have always had a sincere appreciation of any knives, whether wooden handled, horn handled or antler handled.  Folding or otherwise.  Which reminds me, I sure do need to get out all of my knives and have a look see at them.  Probably should oil the blades while I am at it.  Thinking the same things about my pistols as well.
Thanks for posting.

The 3rd from the bottom is a butcher/scalper blade I handled with stag.

It works perfectly for skinning larger animals (deer, bear, caribou, etc) - and for scaring those who deserve it.

I also made a smaller version from a CS Roach Belly that's perfect for caping/skinning the tight areas around an animal's ears/eyes/etc

PetahW....looks to these old eyes that you're a pretty handy feller.
Like all of us that have dabbled in this sport / hobby for many years, I too have tried my hand at a more'n just a few blades.
Some were good, actually very practical, but some where not much of anything....wasted time and material, but the guys loved them and they made decent gifts or Trade Blanket material.
I learned years ago, following many mistakes, that my own "personal" preferred blade length, for an actual work knife, should never exceed 5" with 4.75" being just about perfect for me.

I own a lot of pocket knives too, not that I collect them or anything like that, it's just that for years the Kids and Grandkids all thought that I was somehow in need of a good pocket knife, so for Birthdays and Christmas you could just-about bet someone was going to throw in a knife of some kind. Plus, when you've had as many Birthdays and Christmases as I have....well, you get the picture.

Very nice Knife collection!  I love a good knife...

Respectfully, Russ...

Thanks for the nice words, fellas !

That's only my large knives - I have a dozen & 1/2 of fixed blade hunting & hideout knives, and another dozen folders, large & very small.

My favorite knife for deer field dressing is a  3-3/4" to 4" fixed blade that's nice & thick (for splitting a pelvis via a hard hand strike)

Here's my smallest knife, a Camillus Tuxedo Model 49, on a 3" drink coaster.

I LIKE that little roach belly!  That would be quite handy for everything.  :hairy

I'll agree with Uncle Russ as far as length; I have various knives but the ones I always seem to use are a Case trapper (EDC) and a Case with a 4 3/4" blade.  I couldn't use them for a rendezvous of course, but then I never seem to get to those anyway.  :laffing
