I am like so surprised I did not do that yet,my specialty is losing tiny things in cramped and messy work areas
I go forth armed and girded as a free man.

Heck, yesterday I lost a large screwdriver and have no idea where it went!  I know where I heard it hit the floor, but from there it disappeared....  :Doh!

Okay, I've heard enough to understand and offer an explanation, which some foolishly claim to be at least misguided.  I've lost so many things before I started studying the process in detail and eventually discovered that...hold on to your hat, DROPPED/LOST ITEMS OFTEN CANNOT BE FOUND BECAUSE THEY DE-.MATERIALIZE!  Most recently I dropped a ss vent liner I was working on and saw exactly where it landed and heard it as well.  It is gone and will not be found unless it decides to re-materialize, and it could re-materialize almost anywhere not even remotely associated with my shop.

Most dropped things disappear into another dimension and many never reappear.  So if you lose an item in your shop look in the fridge, microwave, on the roof, bedroom, etc.  I've had things re-materialize in the exact spot they occupied just before they hit the floor and skidded into the ether.

So losing things is not necessarily your own fault, but rather often the fault of perversity.  :hairy

I support Hanshi's inter-dimensional theory. I once dropped a brand new hot shot nipple in my shop area only to have it reappear in the dryer with my wife's clothes three days later.
I'm  not  H/C or P/C or even a particularly  good shot but I have a hell of a good time!

I had removed a buttplate from a Marlin made in 1900 ,it had rusted,so I put it in rust remover,I never saw it again, chemically, there should have been something left,so the other dimension thing happened.

I just discovered another source for parts Thompson Center.
According to their website, they offer several lock parts and top jaw screws, etc.  Never hurts to have several sources of parts and pieces, especially when parts slip into other dimensions and such.

Oh yeah, the source is RMC Sports in somewhere, PA.

Not much for T-C.  Click on "Parts & Accessories", then Muzzleloader Parts".
