what i did today
« on: July 03, 2021, 07:35:42 PM »
finally got my hands on a melting pot and thought I'd use my single ball mould and try my hand at casting some balls for my .62  fowler.
after some trials i got some fairly consistent pours with .60 on average at 348gr.   good i guess??

finished my TOTW barrel brown.  not too bad I'd say.  I'll give it a bath and hand rub some linseed oil onto it.

now to start final sanding of the stock and figure out my stain...

I'll say!  Let us know what stain you go with.  I'm trying to decide that for myself!
