This was the cheek piece I went with on my flintlock retirement rifle build, but it hasn't really worked very well on this rifle / so rather than build a new stock, I simply altered the cheek piece to perform like the one in the picture below that's on my most accurate rifle - that's the bottom one in the next picture.

With the alteration to the top rifle, it now seems to fit my cheek-weld way better when shouldering it. I believe that before the alteration, my cheek piece was causing me to "cant" my head way to much...
Aiming this rifle now just sets the sights right in line with my line of sight... No moving my head at all to align the sights on target, which is how the lower butt-stock in the picture performs. Some Range time will only tell of course.
