front sight install
« on: August 02, 2023, 08:49:06 PM »
So i have been watching kibler woodsrunner videos and on one video imparticular , 11 bang bang channel, the guy states his kibler is sighted in and shows the front sight.
the odd thing to me was that the wings of the sight rather than being filed smooth to the flat were instead bent/hammered over .
not something I have seen before or just maybe never noticed.
is something that was commonly done, HC as it were.
would you do the same in the name of correctness ?
me ,meh, probably not on my kibler.
thanks kevin

Me.. NEVER!  HC or not, ( and I've looked at a lot of original rifles in the last 35 years) have never seen a one, besides looks like a hack built it, I've leave my plate a wee bit long for final adjustment of the site, then set it, file it back and adjust for a clean look.
