50 Caliber Early rifle for R. Schaffer
« on: December 16, 2022, 05:45:51 PM »
Here is an Build for a gentleman at work. It is a 50 caliber early gun in my preferred style, Colerain b weight swamped barrel at 42 inches. Large Colonial lock (tuned) , simple pinned trigger at 2lbs of pull. The metal furniture is moderately engraved in a simple style, and the stock shows a fair (better than expected for a grade 1 blank) level of pattern. The rifle weighs in at just over 7 pounds, and has about about 1 inch of cast off for him. The patch box features and eagle silhouette per his request, and the button is a hidden screw on the top of the butt plate. I hope you all enjoy this rifle.

For starters, I would suggest sizing them down a bit. I think the large size overpowers our software!

You do good work!  That is a lovely rifle.

Nice looking rifle. That cast off just about floored me, but if that's what he needs.  :hairy

I would call that an instant heirloom rifle.
Gorgeous yet functional.

He's a big boy with a big wingspan! That amount seemed to be the best lol! Quite a crooked gun but he's shooting good!
