Looking pretty good, Kevin.  Interesting wood on it.  Nice job inletting the lock.

When I looked at the outside photo, my first thought was that looks just like our home in Hayden.  Same exact window placement, only the garage was on the bottom side of the house, not the top.  And we had a comp roof.  Oh well, that's all history now.

Looking forward to a range report.

While in Idaho last month, I picked up a North Star West Trade Gun in 12 ga.  Hope I will get out to the range and do some shooting with that someday soon.

stock is curly maple, low grade.  the lock was mostly inlet for me by pecatonica, I still had to bring it and the barrel channel to final depth.
browned the barrel, blackened the lock with beeswax candle and some oil rubbed on first.  worked out OK but next time I'll try something different.
It was a fun project, glad I made a flintlock ,not sure if I'll build more, just wanted to see what I could accomplish , with a kit anyways.

Looks good! The only suggestion I would make is to trim down the lock panels, fowlers have very thin lock panels.

Here is a Caywood fowler and an original, similar lock panels. I made the one above in the first picture.
