Couple used bowies

 I picked up these two knives today at an antique shop .
 This one has a gap where the scales meet the guard . looks to have once been filled with copper .

 How should I proceed here, re-scale it, leave it.
 Everything is tight just looks ugly.

I would think about a re' wrap with copper... With them stamped "Pakistan" I don't know if I'd put too much into them. They would make a great carry knife IMHO for reenacting (such as Rendezvous), or other events.  They certainly would be conversation pieces...

If they were mine I'd just sharpen them, polish them and appreciate their character and personality. That's just me, though.

Looks like a couple of blanket prizes to me.
Since they were made by Paki Pete, they really don't have a lot of value.  At least with serious knife aficionados.  One similar to yours is $29.95 on FleaBay.
I see a USA made one similar to yours for about $250.00 as a comparison.  And another at $450.00.

IME, a Paki knife blade that will hold an edge after a (very) little use is about as rare as chicken teeth.

Ok sounds like I made a great investment 
 I really picked them up for rendevous/reenactor stuff,  10$ each.
 I'll probably make a sheath for both and like said, turn em into trade blanket fodder.

Good thinking Kevin. I don't think you'll have any trouble turning a profit on them once they've been "old style" sheathed. Heck, you might even want to replace the wood scales with leather... They just might make good throwing knives?

Throwing knives, really hmm. Maybe.
 I was thinking a decorative fightin knife. Throw some rivets and fringe on a sheath . tada.

Kevin, please don't think I'm trying to be smart. But I don't know your background in knife and tomahawk throwing. If you decide on throwing knives, for your own safety I would lose the guards. They kind of resemble a throwing knife I bought from TOW a long time ago. It was made in India.

 Did some research on throwing knives,  need one for my club ,  I think I'll try grinding the hook off the ass end, put on some leather scales .
  We'll see how that works.

That sounds like a good idea.
While you have the scales off of it, I would knock the guard off as well.
There used to be a leather supply shop in Spokane where we bought a lot of hardware and supplies.  Besides Tandy.  IIRC, it might have been associated with Leather Factory?  Of course, that was 16+ years ago, so things could have changed.
Yep, the CdAML club does like it's knife throwing.  Always a sure fire way for me to lose points in the aggregate.  I was pretty fair with tomahawks, but the knives just pulled me under.  Ugh!
As a comparison, the Hawken Shop throwing knife retails for $60.00+, so you are ahead of the game, assuming yours works out.
Remember, while the tomahawk will usually stick with one turn in 6 paces, that is not always the case for a knife.  I have had my best luck throwing the hawk first, then stepping forward one pace and let go with the knife.  YMMV.

Kevin, I really like what you have done with the knives.  Have you tried tossing the throwing knife yet?
We need a full report on that.  Or is there too much snow on the ground for that?
I just hated for there to be any footprints in the snow pack, so I had mine set up along the edge of my drive.  I always plowed that area wide, so I could do a 12 pace toss (2 revolutions) if I wanted to.

Do you throw a homemade knife and hawk or do you use something like an H&B or something else? The knife I use is a copy of the one I bought from  TOW,  but it's made from a blade off a sawmill.
